Cabin Comfort
We have 2 small cabins nestled high up on the Ridge, secluded amidst tall pine trees with a scenic vista below. They are rustic (no electricity), but provide the essentials: furnished with two comfy cots, storage shelves, lanterns, rugs, chairs and a heater (for cooler weather). Each cabin measures about 12' x 15' and provides room for two people plus their dog or one person with one or more dogs. Because of the small cabins' location higher up on a ridge, you should feel physically comfortable heading up an incline on the established path to the cabins. If you are not up for walking uphill, have a look at the large cottages which sit below the ridge. On the ridge, the quiet and fresh air will make sleeping a joy for you and your dog. Some guests have described the views as those you would see in a treehouse! Guests will need to bring their own pillows, bed linens or sleeping bags and blankets. You will need a flashlight or lantern to make your way to/from your cabin or cottage at night. Also if you like to read at night, a personal reading light might be something extra to bring along. See Camper Info for what to bring.
Situated below the ridge, are 2 spacious large cottages. The cottages are rustic (no electricity), but provide you with the basics: each cabin has two large cots, a dresser, shelving, lanterns, rugs and chairs. The setting gives you quick access to nearby trails. The views from the windows are gorgeous! The cottages measure about 16' x 20' and can easily sleep two to three people with their dogs. They are perfect for friends attending Camp together or for a couple who want lots of space to unwind in between Camp activities. Guests will need to bring their own pillows, bed linens or sleeping bags and blankets. You will need a flashlight or lantern to make your way to/from your cabin or cottage at night. Also if you like to read at night, a personal reading light might be something extra to bring along. See Camper Info for what to bring.

The cabins and cottages are rustic as they do not have electricity and do not house their own bathroom. Shower and toilet facilities (see below) are located just 100 feet away. Please note that at night you will need a flashlight or lantern to make your way to/from your cabin or cottage. Cabins and cottages are equipped with heaters for use during September and October*. Fresh water is brought to your quarters for you and your dog. For meals, you can prepare them on your own in the dining pavilion (see below) or you may choose to head into Morris, 2 miles away or Oneonta, 15 miles away, for groceries or to grab a bite to eat. Don't forget to see Camper Info for what to pack!

RV Convenience
The Farm RVs are a real home away from home and wonderfully situated at the foot of a 30-acre meadow. With 5 standard RVs or 1 deluxe RV to choose from, visitors opt for RVs for access to electricity including heating/air conditioning. Though in efforts to conserve energy, we kindly asked guests to turn off heat/air when not in the RVs.
Our standard RVs have the feel of gently lived-in spaces (they are after all dog-friendly!). All have a separate cozy bedroom (with full, queen or king accommodations), the convenience of a private but small bathroom, storage cabinets, a kitchen equipped with stove, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, hot water pot and coffee maker. Kitchens are stocked with basic cookware, glasses, mugs, dishware and utensils. If you feel like cooking out, which many of our RV guests do, you can use the gas or wood burning grills and prep space in the outdoor dining pavilion (see Facilities below). Living areas have a dog friendly sofa with throw blankets and pillows and also VCR/DVD and stereo. While RVs have their own small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, RV guests prefer to use our separate full size bathroom and shower facilities (see Facilities below) just behind the RV row.
You will need to bring your own bed linens, pillows and blankets. See Camper Info for what to bring. We provide camp chairs for outside lounging under the retractable awnings.
Got your own RV? Load up the dogs and come on over! We have RV hookup sites for you to rent.

New deluxe RV!
In addition to the standard amenities described above, we have a new deluxe RV with spacious interior thanks to push-out technology. You and your dogs will appreciate the extra room to move around! The Chateau RV has a single push-out, creating a good sized living space with a very comfortable home-like interior. In perfect condition, the king-sized bed, pull out bed, large kitchen design and over-sized bathroom makes for RV luxury in the countryside.

Facilities

The 2 toilet rooms each have a flushing toilet. On the outside are a pair of vanities with mirrors.
Dining pavilion
Our pavilion is an outdoor dining shelter. In the middle is a huge free-standing wood burning grill, roomy enough for a large group feast or for an individual meal. We also have gas and charcoal grills, plus electric hot water pot and coffeemaker (don't forget to bring your own coffee) available to use. The pavilion also has a food prep counter and numerous picnic tables. Our pantry shed houses several refrigerators with freezers and tables and shelves for you to store your food during your stay. Pots, grill pans and cooking utensils are on hand, as are basic oils and spices. There is a large outdoor sink and dish drying racks to make cleanup easy. We provide the wood for the grill. A limited number of camp dishware and utensils are available but you should come prepared with plates, cups, eating utensils and napkins. Guests can also choose to head into Morris or Oneonta to grab a bite to eat or to stock up on more groceries.
Rest areas Throughout the Farm alongside the trails you will come across thoughtfully placed hammocks, lounging chairs and benches and picnic tables where you can take a break rom the activities and enjoy the wonderful scenery. Keep an eye out for the signs that direct you to favorite locations around the Farm. In fact, these are special places that were picked by our very own Farm dogs! Water stations are conveniently located and provide fresh water for you and your dog so you are refreshed and ready to venture around the next bend.
Your stay at the Farm supports Sweet Border Collie Rescue
Glen HIghland Farm is also home to Sweet Border Collie Rescue. Since inception we have helped find forever homes for over 900 border collies. Please inquire with us if you would like to tour the rescue operation during your stay. Many campers enjoy meeting the rescue dogs personally, taking them for walks around the property. We love volunteers! You can feel great having a wonderful outdoor learning vacation and doing something wonderful for dogs in need.
