An awakening of spirit, of heart, of joy
Glen Highland Farm is a remarkable place devoted to the love of dogs, offering experiences not to be found anywhere else. The Farm is a place of joy and wonder and of healing as the mission to help rescue dogs surrounds all that exists. Every dog has a magnificent spirit to share with people. The Farm understands this truth fully and embraces the heartfelt bond between canine and humans. We provide the setting for an exploration of the Inner Dog. Lillie Goodrich, founder of Glen Highland Farm, will be teaching you how to renew, retreat and recharge and to remember that there is a simpler rhythm of nature, as you play and rest with your dog as your guide.
Let your dog lead you back to your heart and an easier life.
Dogs offer a door for humans to walk through, bringing us closer to our hearts. There is a pureness in joy and being that dogs share with us. They agree to share our lives fully, side by side, through the ups and downs. Their genuine nature is a marvel from which to learn. It's time to turn your perspective upside down.
See your dog as your teacher, as your healer, as the one that loves you fully enough to help you become more of who you can be. Strip away the fur long enough to explore the depth of your feelings for your dog and what they have led you to do. Uncover the deep connection between you and your dog. Allow yourself to know the Inner Dog.
Think about how your dog found you; how you found your dog. A chance meeting or coincidence or is it destiny, a greater hand at work to bring you the companion you needed exactly when you needed it.
Is it possible to suspend disbelief and allow the miracle of the heart to lead? Can you build on that deep connection and bring it into other areas of your life? Is it possible to allow a new definition of intelligence into your realm of belief?
The old ideology of being master to your dog is an archaic belief. There is a fresh perspective that dog lovers are embracing each day as they realize the serious nature of this relationship. There is a honest companionship. Now, it is time to go even further into greater understanding of the Inner Dog.

Description of Activities
Silent Walks
You'll get a chance to hear and see the world as your dog does and understand the sharpness of their all encompassing vision. Each day of the The Inner Dog is unique, starting with morning Silent Walks led by your dog. Suspending chatter and distraction, you find out about the present moment in which your dog lives as you join in the discovery of the day, dog style.
Sensory Development
Letting go of words as the only communication tool, practice experiencing the world as your dog does. This is a daily exercise in sharpening your own ability to use other senses you have forgotten: smell, sight, sound, touch and taste. The Farm offers ample opportunities to build a base of sensory understanding with underlying grace and beauty.
Intuitive Guidance
Developing your own intuitive guidance will show you how savvy your dog experience of humans can be. Sessions in Intuitive Guidance offer a way of moving through the world where you trust where you are based on an inner understanding. You can feel the energy around you and know what is next and where you are supposed to be. Dogs innately know the energy that feels 'right' and what feels 'off.' It is the human who mistakes the interpretation of the dog's reaction...we miss what is guiding them to react.
Energetics of Communication
Sharpening your experience of how your dog "reads energy" teaches you how to also read the energetics of communication between dogs and people and dogs and dogs and even dogs and the environment around them. The Energetics of Communication is the next key to The Inner Dog and understanding how dogs navigate our human world and their own canine world. Everyone carries a certain energy of who they are and how they act that can be read intuitively.
Hearing Your Dog
Uncover your innate ability to communicate with animals and practice receiving images, sensations and clearer information so The Inner Dog becomes second nature. Daily practice in Hearing Your Dog is the way to clearer understanding by developing the skills of animal communication. Animal communication is a skill to be developed and trusted with practice. The Inner Dog provides a chance to trust your own ability to sharpen what you receive.

Lillie Goodrich
Lillie Goodrich is a student of dogs, their behaviors, their personalities and their gifts. She believes that canines have much to give to humans and willingly do so, especially when they are understood and handled with respect. She knows first-hand that dogs teach people about love, joy, play, patience, honesty and commitment. In return, they ask of us to be clear, consistent and genuine in our heart to heart connection to them. Stepping into the world from their vantage point, she offers insight and clarity not often found in the dog world.
As co-founder of Glen Highland Farm, Lillie is on call 24/7 caring for and learning from the Border Collies in the Sweet Border Collie Rescue program. She has personally loved and lived with 1100 dogs, finding them new homes where they can flourish. Her intuitive ability to know what they want and communicate with them, guides her every decision. In addition to her hands-on interaction with this breed, Lillie hosts various camps, where over 150 dogs of all breeds come together at the Farm each summer. All breeds from beagles, labs, afghan hounds to boxers and dobermans frolic and come together for a remarkable experience off-leash. Dogs are given the rare opportunity to be naturally who they are in the company of other dogs while humans take a back seat and learn, witnessing the freedom of dogs without owner constraints.
Glen Highland Farm is a 175-acre nature sanctuary designed around dogs: the Border Collies who live there awaiting new homes; the dogs who visit for camp; and those that come to the Farm to join in new adoptive homes. The farm is a doggie paradise where health and healing surrounds all that visit whether two-legged or four.
